About Us

Our Story

In 2023, our family traded suburban life for the peace and privacy of Haydon, Ontario. Born and raised in Scarborough, our path led us through Pickering and Old Pickering Village before arriving here. When we discovered that the community’s name mirrored that of our only son, Hayden (Haydon), and that the house had been built in 2004—the same year he was born—it felt like fate. We sold our home and our Kawartha Lakes cottage to invest in this 2.5-acre property, most of it forested, and began our next chapter.

After long and demanding days of work, we immediately fell in love with the rhythm of life here: feeding the birds, walking the trails, listening for the quiet hum of Mosport on long weekends. My husband often says it feels like living in God’s Country, while our son calls it his dream home. That sense of peace and perspective reminded me how much people crave balance in a world that rarely slows down —and it’s something I want to continue sharing with others.

For me, this move planted a seed. After nearly 30 years of
leadership—20 of those in executive leadership positions—
I’ve had my finger on the pulse of people. I’ve seen firsthand what inspires teams, what challenges them, and what it takes to build environments where they can thrive. That experience, combined with my deep belief in people-first leadership, made me realize: who better to curate and facilitate corporate offsites than a leader who has actually lived it?

This vision is not just aspirational — it’s already happening. Over the past two years, I’ve facilitated director and management off-sites, created and taught classes, and co-created community gatherings like the Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox here on our property. Each event has reinforced a simple truth: people crave spaces where they can reconnect with themselves.

That’s How Hayden’s Hideaway Was Born.

Hayden’s Hideaway is more than a venue. It’s a vision — a rural-meets-modern retreat for corporate teams, community groups, and individuals. A place where people can step away from the noise, reflect, and realign. A place for renewal, creativity, and community. A place where nature meets purpose.

What makes this space unique is not only the natural beauty of the property but also the perspective I bring: a balance of lived executive experience and the emotional intelligence to guide agendas that integrate leadership, collaboration, and the restorative power of nature.

This is not a formula, it’s not off-the-shelf programming — it’s an authentic extension of who I am, shaped by my career and my journey here.
